I recently spent a week in central California visiting my wonderful and wonderfully FUN friend Cheryl. On our first social outing of the trip, my eyes quickly landed on the fantastic Michael Kors handbag she was carrying. The dilemma with this particular situation was that I am a rather huge fan of Michael Kors purses and I WANTED THAT HANDBAG! I’ve owned a black Michael Kors Large Hamilton Chain Tote for over three years now and simply cannot leave on a trip without it. The Hamilton looks amazing, is a fantastic size (rather large = good for traveling) and the storage design is absolutely the best I’ve seen. Every woman covets a well-constructed handbag combining beautiful design and great storage. Michael Kors merged those two requirements splendidly in the Hamilton bag. But if one MK bag is good, then two is better, right? Yes indeed, so I decided to give Cheryl the most sincere form of flattery: I imitated her. Ahhhh “the Magic of Macy’s” … luring me in with a 30% discount – I snatched up that MK Selma Satchel like a half-starved bear devouring her first spring meal after a long winter’s hibernation!
Suffice it say that new Michael Kors Selma Large East West Satchel is amazing! I dare say Mr. Kors and his design team knocked one out of the park again. More structured and refreshingly smaller than the Hamilton in size, the Selma satchel sacrifices nothing when it comes to interior storage design. Three Louis Vuitton handbags and the black MK Hamilton Tote are collecting dust in my closet, because I just can’t bring myself to switch out this navy MK satchel! Structured, contemporary shape, beautiful gold accents, an option of long strap or handles; this bag goes perfect whether I’m wearing jeans, a party dress, or business attire. It would probably look great with p.j.’s, for God’s sake! On a recent day of shopping with my friends Marlene and Patti, they too coveted Selma. (I shamefully admit that I reveled in their envy for a brief moment.)
So ladies, if you happen to find that the magic of Macy’s (or any other store where MK is sold) has lured you in with an enticing savings pass, get over to the handbag department and pluck your new Michael Kors off the shelf. In addition to luggage brown, black, navy, and optic white, the Selma satchel is also offered in vibrant seasonal hues of fuchsia, mandarin and turquoise.
